Spurr Dealerships collects information from visitors to this website with the intention of using this information to improve and optimize the site based on user preferences and usage patterns.  Information collected in the process includes, but is not limited to items such as:

Contact Form Information

Throughout the website, the opportunity is given to make inquiries such as but not limited to the following:

• the possible purchase of a vehicle through the Quick Quote form
• the possible purchase of vehicle parts, accessories, or finance options
• the scheduling of a service appointment
• the creation of a general inquiry
• the request to have an appraisal of a vehicle you may considering trading in as a part of the purchase process through the Trade-in Value form
• a credit application authorizing a credit check for possible finance approval for a new or pre-owned vehicle purchase

Completion of these forms is completely voluntary and not required to make or inquire about a purchase at the dealership.  The information collected in these forms is submitted directly to the dealership and is read and interpreted by dealership staff and associated personnel.

Third Parties

The information collected and submitted by you is sometimes shared with third parties for the purpose of fulfilling a request originated by you, or to complete sales or marketing activities on behalf of Spurr Dealerships.  For example, we may provide the information submitted on the credit application form to a credit reporting agency to obtain a credit score in an effort to determine eligibility for obtaining a loan to complete a vehicle purchase.  Sometimes third parties are used to carry out marketing activities such as follow-up direct mail and/or email communications (with consent).  Any third party organizations used in any of these processes are bound by confidentiality agreements regarding the use of this data.

Information Disclosure

While third party information systems are used to store any data collected, the data is not shared with any unaffiliated third parties for their independent use without your permission.  Spurr Dealerships however, will disclose information collected as a result of your site visit if/when required by law, for the purpose of trial or other litigation and in an effort to resolve a dispute.

Your information will NOT be sold, rented or given to anyone and access to your data is restricted to employees of Spurr Dealerships, contractors, and other agents approved to carry out business on the behalf of Spurr Dealerships as approved by dealership management staff.

Credit Application Data Security

The information collected on the credit application form includes a social security number, which is typically required to perform a credit check to determine eligibility in obtaining a loan.  The information collected on this form is encrypted as a part of the submission process and while stored in a database.  Both a decryption mechanism and a username and password are required to retrieve the data submitted on the credit application form and are handled by internal dealership staff once the decision is made to perform an actual credit check.
